Follow-Up MoleMap

A universal truth about melanoma is that it changes.  This appointment is the only way that our dermatologists can make an objective assessment of any change in your moles or skin, and enables them to increase their accuracy in the diagnosis of early melanoma:

  • Head-to-toe skin examination by a Melanographer (Registered Nurse) against the baseline record of the skin, to check for the emergence of new moles
  • Repeat Digital Dermoscopic (Subsurface) and Clinical Images of all previously imaged moles
  • Digital Dermoscopic and Clinical Images of any new moles + accompanying history (e.g. patient concern)
  • Accurate diagnosis of all imaged lesions by one of a panel of specialist dermatologists (includes serial monitoring - comparing your most recent images with those from your previous MoleMap to identify any subtle changes that could indicate early skin cancer & could potentially go unnoticed during a consultation with no visual history)
  • Comprehensive report including images/location of any moles requiring action sent to you and your designated doctor
  • Patient education on sun protection and self examination, including a self-monitor kit, and a CD copy of your images (upon request)
  • Secure storage and free file transfer to any MoleMap clinic across the country
  • Access to up to three FREE Spot Checks (dermatologist opinion of up to three lesions of concern) between regular MoleMap exams
Low mole count $225
Moderate mole count $260
High mole count $320

Note: No melanoma surveillance programme can claim to be 100% accurate and as such MoleMap is not a complete substitute for a clinical examination. It is therefore important to continue seeing your doctor or specialist for regular skin checks especially if you are at high risk of developing melanoma or other skin cancers.
