“At my annual full body skin exam, the melanographer found a small pin-sized spot on my ear and recommended I have it examined further. It turned out to be cancerous. If it wasn’t for MoleMap, it would have gone unnoticed.”

Want the security of ongoing mole monitoring?

Your questions, answered

How much does a skin check cost at Balgowlah MoleMap?

The cost of a skin cancer check in Balgowlah will depend on the type of service you choose. At MoleMap Balgowlah, our most comprehensive service is our Full Body MoleMap. This includes full body imaging and ongoing, proactive skin monitoring. It is recommended for anyone with a medium to high risk of getting melanoma. For people at low risk or who have spotted a new or changing mole, we suggest having a SkinCheck. For more information on the pricing and what's included, visit our SkinCheck or Full Body MoleMap pages.

How long does a skin check take at Balgowlah skin cancer clinic?

The length of appointment will depend on the skin check service you select.

How is Balgowlah skin check clinic different from other mole checks?

MoleMap’s proven skin cancer detection system combines head-to-toe skin mapping by Melanographers. These are registered nurses who are trained in the early detection of melanoma and other skin cancers. Any suspicious moles are dermoscopically imaged and sent to an accredited dermatologist for further review and diagnosis. That’s two sets of expert eyes. And that’s what makes a skin check at our skin cancer clinic in Balgowlah so effective.

How should I prepare for my Balgowlah mole check?

Before attending your appointment at Balgowlah skin cancer clinic, we recommend checking your skin and noting any spots of concern. At your skin check you’ll need to undress. It’s best to wear clothing and underwear that can easily be removed for a thorough skin check. Please don’t wear make-up free and avoid using self-tan or nail polish prior to your mole check. Don’t worry, our friendly melanographers will ensure you feel completely comfortable throughout your appointment.
