“At my annual full body skin exam, the melanographer found a small pin-sized spot on my ear and recommended I have it examined further. It turned out to be cancerous. If it wasn’t for MoleMap, it would have gone unnoticed.”

Looking for a skin cancer check outside of these areas? Check out our list of our clinic locations.

How much is a skin cancer check Sydney?

The price of a skin cancer check can vary between the different skin cancer clinics Sydney. Cost is also dependent on the type of service you choose. At MoleMap Sydney, our most comprehensive service is our Full Body Mole Check.

This is recommended for anyone with a medium to high risk of getting melanoma. For people at low risk or who have spotted a new or changing mole, we suggest having a Skin Check. For more information on the pricing and what's included, visit our skin services page.

What do I need to do prior to my skin cancer check Sydney city?

Before attending your skin cancer clinic Sydney CBD, we recommend doing an at-home skin assessment and noting any spots of concern.

Our melanographer (registered nurse trained in skin cancer detection) will check these out as part of a thorough skin examination. When preparing for your appointment, we advise wearing clothing that can easily be removed. It’s best to be make-up free and to avoid using self-tan or nail polish prior to your mole check.

What melanoma signs should I be aware of?

Understanding the ABCDE + EFG rules can help you to recognise the early signs of skin cancer.

  • Asymmetrical in shape
  • Borders are irregular
  • Colours are uneven or unusual
  • Diameter is growing
  • Evolving shape
  • + Elevated
  • Firm to touch
  • Growth is rapid

Melanoma may look different to other skin cancers. This is why a regular skin check at Skin Cancer Clinic Sydney is important. It’s also a good idea to do regular (ideally every 3 months) at-home skin checks. If you notice a change or an unusual mole, seek advice immediately.
